Information Summary
Honda Freed launched in 2008 for Japan Market, and launched in March 2009 for Indonesian Market. The Freed is based on the Jazz/Fit platform. Honda Freed offered three different version, a seven-passenger version, an eight-passenger version and a five-passenger version which offers a large cargo space.
The Freed is equipped with a 1.5L engine with 118 horsepower, same as Honda Jazz engine, but Honda Freed had a little difference at torque, Honda Freed has 148 Nm, honda Jazz/City had 120 Horsepower with torque 145 Nm.
Honda Freed is assembled at Honda’s Karawang Plant and will be exported to other ASEAN markets. In September 2009, it was announced that a hybrid version would be available by 2011.
